- CAT5e | 24 AWG | Max Distance 130 FT
- CAT6/7 | 23 AWG | Max Distance 200 FT
2. Check the Ethernet cable type
- Wires within flat ethernet cables typically are not twisted the way standard ethernet cables are, and they are not separated by a plastic core.
- These (flat) cables generally will not meet the standards necessary for this extender causing signal problems.
- For best results use Standard CAT6/7 ethernet cables.
3. Check the cable quality
For more stable signal transmission in long distance, a good quality Ethernet cable that made with bare copper metal is required.
